Are you like me and struggle with keyword research? Finding keywords isn’t actually the problem. Most of what I find are useless though.
I always believed that Google’s keyword tool gave highly accurate results. Why wouldn’t I? Big company like that shouldn’t be giving false figures. Sadly, that’s not always how it goes.
The keyword data you see will be out of date and wrong. But it will have been spot on at some time. I accidentally discovered the answer to that puzzle.
I decided to go for a keyword with about five thousand competing pages. I was pretty sure I could get a good result with that keyword. So I set out putting articles out. Lots of articles.
It didn’t take long to notice there were now over 9000 competing sites. My heart sank, I thought my task was gonna be twice as hard now. Turned out though that an awful lot of the extra competing pages had my articles on them!
My point being is that I’d have swerved this keyword if I had seen nine thousand competitors. A lot of these sites were ranking with my article so I had a lot of competition but most of it was my own articles. A good result all round in my opinion.
I got lucky on that keyword but I suspected I may not get lucky again so I made the decision to try out a keyword research service. Hopefully I could get some golden keywords delivered to my inbox every day. I calculated the cost of these services and concluded that they were value for money.
Travis Sago was offering a keyword research service which I decided to try. Travis being at the top of the bum marketing pile. Bum marketing only costs my time so it’s my kind of marketing.
If I can get a keyword or two in my in box each day then that saves me valuable time. At least a two hour saving. Two hours or so to me is quite valuable. If I contrast a couple hours of my time against the cost each day it has to be value.
Outsourcing, outsourcing, outsourcing. Seems to be all you hear from the gurus of internet marketing. I reckon there’s not much difference here. I’m paying someone else to research my keywords. I reckon that’s outsourcing.
If you want to hear about my trial of the Instacash service get yourself over to my website. I mentioned earlier about getting thousands of articles published for a good keyword. I’ll also tell you how I did that at my site.
